"The artist...is also a born adventurer. His explorations, unlike those of a tourist, are rewarded by the discovery of beauty spots unmentioned in the guide books, and with tireless curiosity and an exceptional proneness to wonderment, he will come upon objects of remarkable interest overlooked or even shunned by more disciplined observers."

A crumbling ruin

First colour on the next print in the Don valley series. Not much to look at yet but this should be a relatively simple print in around six colours.

The second colour finishes the sky and already the subject matter is well defined.

The third colour adds a grey onto the castle walls. From here on we can start adding darker tones.
