Water Rail

The last drawing of my set of 13 illustrations for the 2007 Huddersfield Birdwatchers Club Report. Based on a sketch I did over 20 years ago.
I studied illustration at Dyfed College of Art, Carmarthen, graduating in 1984. The works shown on this site are based on observations and drawings made directly from life in the field. The field sketches are mostly drawn using a Rotring Art Pen or a soft 6B pencil. The finished studio pieces are generally linocuts but I have recently started working with drypoints and mezzotints.
