Dipper
Dipper 11 colour Reduction Linocut 190mm x 170mm Edition of 10.
Finished the print but forgot to photograph most of the intervening stages.
I studied illustration at Dyfed College of Art, Carmarthen, graduating in 1984. The works shown on this site are based on observations and drawings made directly from life in the field. The field sketches are mostly drawn using a Rotring Art Pen or a soft 6B pencil. The finished studio pieces are generally linocuts but I have recently started working with drypoints and mezzotints. I must admit I was as interested in trying to capture the water as I was in portraying the bird.
