Raiding the holiday archives
Going back to a sketch made on holiday a couple of years ago for this print. We're on the Northumberland coast, the location will become apparent as the print progresses. Colour 1, is a pale beige.
I studied illustration at Dyfed College of Art, Carmarthen, graduating in 1984. The works shown on this site are based on observations and drawings made directly from life in the field. The field sketches are mostly drawn using a Rotring Art Pen or a soft 6B pencil. The finished studio pieces are generally linocuts but I have recently started working with drypoints and mezzotints.
