"The artist...is also a born adventurer. His explorations, unlike those of a tourist, are rewarded by the discovery of beauty spots unmentioned in the guide books, and with tireless curiosity and an exceptional proneness to wonderment, he will come upon objects of remarkable interest overlooked or even shunned by more disciplined observers."

Female Peregrine

Peregrine cleaning her talons. Pencil and Ink Wash. 155mm x 240mm.

Based on a field sketch drawn last year in Ribblesdale in the Yorkshire Dales National Park. At a site I have been studying since 1985 and which has been continuously occupied by Peregrines since 1984. Not drawn for any specific reason other than the sheer joy of it!
