"The artist...is also a born adventurer. His explorations, unlike those of a tourist, are rewarded by the discovery of beauty spots unmentioned in the guide books, and with tireless curiosity and an exceptional proneness to wonderment, he will come upon objects of remarkable interest overlooked or even shunned by more disciplined observers."

Augustus John, R.A.

Progress on the ruin

Next few colours on the castle print. The first green, printed across the lower half of the block.

.
Followed by a dark grey colour across the castle walls and the tree on the right. For both of these colours only the relevant parts of the lino block have been inked.

Then a dark green  is printed across the lower half of the block to add some contours and interest to the large flat green area in the foreground.

One more dark to go, printed across the castle and tree.
