Kilnsey Crag Colours 6, 7 and 8
Colour 6, the first green for the foreground grasses, and then colour 7, a darker tone of the same green.
Colour 8 below, a dark violet grey for the shadowed areas on the crag.
I studied illustration at Dyfed College of Art, Carmarthen, graduating in 1984. The works shown on this site are based on observations and drawings made directly from life in the field. The field sketches are mostly drawn using a Rotring Art Pen or a soft 6B pencil. The finished studio pieces are generally linocuts but I have recently started working with drypoints and mezzotints.
