"The artist...is also a born adventurer. His explorations, unlike those of a tourist, are rewarded by the discovery of beauty spots unmentioned in the guide books, and with tireless curiosity and an exceptional proneness to wonderment, he will come upon objects of remarkable interest overlooked or even shunned by more disciplined observers."

Conisborough Castle

Conisborough Castle.
15 Colour Reduction Linocut.
270mm x 380mm.
Edition of 4.

Finally finished the Conisborough Castle Print but had real problems with the registration on the final colour. From the ten prints that I started with, I finished with 4 useable prints and this pile of rejects.

Great finish. With 15 colours I'm in awe that you ended up with as many as 4 good prints! Love your work.

How frustrating, but that's all part of printing I suppose. At least the four good ones look great.

Hi Sharon

Thank you for your comment. Its always heartening to get an encouraging second opinion. Especially as I was quite disappointed with this print after losing so many.

Hi Keith

It is frustrating, especially as these are the first prints that I have lost due to poor registration for some time. During the really hot weather that we had earlier in the summer, I lost a few because the ink was drying too quickly and stuck the paper to the block.
