Progress on the new print
Colour 4, blue for the sky and the base colour for the foreground river.
Colour 5, a darker sand colour. The next stages will be to develop the middle distance areas beneath the castle.
I studied illustration at Dyfed College of Art, Carmarthen, graduating in 1984. The works shown on this site are based on observations and drawings made directly from life in the field. The field sketches are mostly drawn using a Rotring Art Pen or a soft 6B pencil. The finished studio pieces are generally linocuts but I have recently started working with drypoints and mezzotints.
