Next three colours
Work has progressed faster than anticipated so I have the next three colours printed. A first pale chestnut colour. and then a darker one for the shaded areas on the birds underparts.
before the second green colour is printed to establish the main areas of the foliage.
I studied illustration at Dyfed College of Art, Carmarthen, graduating in 1984. The works shown on this site are based on observations and drawings made directly from life in the field. The field sketches are mostly drawn using a Rotring Art Pen or a soft 6B pencil. The finished studio pieces are generally linocuts but I have recently started working with drypoints and mezzotints.
