However with this one I pretty much inked up all the paper for each layer. Its printed on a heavywieght Winsor and Newton smooth cartridge paper which stands up well to being rubbed with the baren. I have a batch of Hosho paper but I've been having problems with it sticking to the block. The inks are waterbased Nerchau Inks.Stuart Brocklehursthttps://www.blogger.com/profile/01901116311000910745noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2995742646070974482.post-64882386254344927882012-02-05T21:58:39.728+00:002012-02-05T21:58:39.728+00:00HI Stuart,

Clouds especially have a lovely weight and feeling of form to them. <br />10 layers is a lot of layers and a lot work, oil based inks? what paper? and do you ink up the whole area or do little spot inks for certain colours??Ian Phillips RCAhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/07064206557586820337noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2995742646070974482.post-79153183357386323062012-01-25T12:48:58.447+00:002012-01-25T12:48:58.447+00:00Hi Keith

I was aware that I could end up making it look like two different pictures, if there was too much difference in the cutting styles between the foreground and background.Stuart Brocklehursthttps://www.blogger.com/profile/01901116311000910745noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2995742646070974482.post-75646744704988000722012-01-25T10:27:12.289+00:002012-01-25T10:27:12.289+00:00I like the cutting, it's very effective, but I...I like the cutting, it's very effective, but I think you could easily do too much of it. Maybe one or two more of the grasses could have gone up over the trees.Keith Tilleyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/04114006831583939493noreply@blogger.com
