In fact, my copy of his Ennion book was a gift from the author himself some years ago... doubly treasured for both the content and the inscription.Sherrie Yorkhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/01967844327055630854noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2995742646070974482.post-16119300135950256842010-11-15T15:06:49.666+00:002010-11-15T15:06:49.666+00:00Three more beautiful pictures, Stuart.Three more beautiful pictures, Stuart.Emma Andersonhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/04385447781203785369noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2995742646070974482.post-1467061491198134482010-11-15T14:37:12.614+00:002010-11-15T14:37:12.614+00:00Hi all.
Thanks for the comments.
Sherrie ..
You ...Hi all.
Thanks for the comments.

Sherrie ..
You are correct, the work of both Eric Ennion and John Busby have been big influences. John Busby, although he now lives in Scotland, was born and brought up about 30 miles away from where I am writing this.
After I left school I did a years arts foundation course at the local technical college. The head of the art department there had been at Leeds College of Art with John Busby. So he kindly arranged for me to spend a couple of days with him up in Edinburgh. It was early in the year, around January or February so the weather wasn't good but we still managed a days drawing in between the snow flurries around Gosford and Aberlady bays on the Firth of Forth. John Busby showed me my first Long Tailed Ducks and Red Necked Grebes.Stuart Brocklehursthttps://www.blogger.com/profile/01901116311000910745noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2995742646070974482.post-9834218213522003002010-11-15T12:30:00.691+00:002010-11-15T12:30:00.691+00:00This was really nice, I just love the your idea an...This was really nice, I just love the your idea and love the way you did this drawing, really amazing.

promotional mugsjenny johnhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/03311999445031891765noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2995742646070974482.post-51109085983092318772010-11-15T07:35:16.238+00:002010-11-15T07:35:16.238+00:00These get better and better, lucky bird group. These get better and better, lucky bird group.Jennifer Tetlowhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/05216669559770468403noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2995742646070974482.post-26789604118308519172010-11-14T22:14:35.774+00:002010-11-14T22:14:35.774+00:00Somehow I think those Ennion and Busby guys must b...Somehow I think those Ennion and Busby guys must be from your patch. ;-) These are lovely and share that spare and sensitive line...Sherrie Yorkhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/01967844327055630854noreply@blogger.com
