"The artist...is also a born adventurer. His explorations, unlike those of a tourist, are rewarded by the discovery of beauty spots unmentioned in the guide books, and with tireless curiosity and an exceptional proneness to wonderment, he will come upon objects of remarkable interest overlooked or even shunned by more disciplined observers."

Next Colours

Managed to get two more colours printed this week.
Colour 4, the first green.

And Colour 5, a blue green for the distant hill.

Colours 2 and 3 on the new linocut

I forgot to scan the print after the second colour, (light blue) was printed. Followed this with the third colour, a tawny ochre colour for the hillside on the right hand side. Now to spend some time thinking and staring as I'm not quite sure which colour to go with next, either a second blue or the first green.

Back with some work to do

After three weeks when I have barely had a pencil in my hand, much less produced any work with it. It felt good to have some work on the go and to be back at the printing bench.

Although so far there isn't much to show for it...

Just the first colour printed so far. A light cream.
